I was in the Prison of Silence... but now I am free to tell my story and to help others... to help you! That is why my husband and I have started the Echoing Voices of Hope Foundation to fight against sex /human trafficking.

Trafficking involves transporting someone into a situation of exploitation. This can include forced labor, marriage, prostitution, and organ removal. This kind of exploitation is known by a few different names -- “human trafficking,” “trafficking of persons,” and “modern slavery” are the ones accepted by the US Department of State. Some are trafficked for only 1 penny!

It’s estimated that internationally there are between 20 million and 40 million people in modern slavery today. Assessing the full scope of human trafficking is difficult because many cases often go undetected, something the United Nations refers to as “the hidden figure of crime. ”Estimates suggest that, internationally, only about .04% survivors of human trafficking cases are identified, meaning that the vast majority of cases of human trafficking go undetected. Human trafficking earns global profits of roughly $150 billion a year for traffickers, $99 billion of which comes from commercial sexual exploitation. Globally, an estimated 71% of enslaved people are women and girls, while men and boys account for 29%. dosomething.org

Over 250,000 children right now in the United States are part of the 21st Century slave traffic industry. Sexual abuse ravages, exploits, and wounds the souls of our children and adolescents. They are left with no voice and their plight is NOT their choice.

I am sharing my book Echoing Silence from the Child Within with the world, and with my husband we are beginning the Echoing Voices of Hope Foundation. Here are The Foundation's Core Values:

OUR PREPARATION:
Shari has already started her internationally recognized coaching certification through Professional Christian Coaching Institute under the auspices of International Coach Federation. After completion of 139 course hours she will receive her Professional Christian Coaching Certificate.
OUR S.T.O.P. and S.T.A.R.T.CAMPAIGNS:
This is our passion in practice to partner with others and to raise public awareness of the scope and depth of human trafficking through churches, media, and community service groups. S.T.O.P. Human Trafficking by Survivor, Thriver, Overcomer, Power of God's grace, and also to S.T.A.R.T. serving others by Standing Tenaciously to Assist and Restore the Traumatized.

Lessons from Grace: The Doll with a Story for All of Us
Grace came into my life rather by Divine Design. I had been been given only rags for my inheritance. So a friend suggested that I turn my refuse into riches. I used an old dresser scarf for the dress and overlaid it with new satin fabric. Now my doll, Grace, shimmers... just as God's grace covers all the old and tattered shattered past and gives a brand new glorious hope for today through Jesus Christ our Lord.
